Piscataway is a 66-piece white china program that grew in two stages, and the product titles still show it: part of the line is labelled Piscataway and part Piscataway-2. The older half is the classic rolled-rim American ladder — round plates, oval platters, nappies, fruit bowls, a tall cup and saucer. The newer half is rimless: coupe plates, coupe platters, square bowls, sheer bowls, compartment trays and three-piece spoon-and-tray sets. Both halves are the same white body, so a kitchen can run a traditional front of house and a modern tasting menu off one pattern.
What's in the Piscataway line
- Rolled-rim round plates — 6.25", 7.5", 8.25", 9", 9.5", 10.5" and 12".
- Coupe plates — 7", 8", 9", 10", 12" and 14".
- Oval platters — 9.5" x 6.375" to 14" x 9.5"; coupe platters 8" x 5.5" to 14" x 10".
- Round bowls — nappies at 12 and 15 oz, fruit at 3.5 and 5 oz, grapefruit at 13 oz, rice/soup at 9 oz, cereal at 16 oz, salad at 26 oz, rim soup plate at 10 oz, pasta at 25 and 30 oz.
- Salad bowls — 8", 10", 12" and 13" at 16, 32, 48 and 60 oz.
- Square bowls — 5.5", 6.5", 7.5" and 9" at 6, 10, 14 and 24 oz; sheer bowls at 18 and 26 oz.
- Beverage — tall cup, Chinese tea cup, Sierra mug, espresso cup and two saucers.
- Divided and set pieces — five compartment plates, three spoon-and-tray sets, a china soup spoon and a 3.5" small dish.
The compartment plates and the tray sets
Five pieces in this line divide the plate, and they are not all the same idea. The Yanco PS-2010 four-compartment plate (10.25" x 8.75") is the only four-well piece Yanco makes in this body; the PS-2012 (12" x 8.5") and PS-2014 (14.5" x 9.5") are rectangular three-compartment trays for larger portions, while the PS-2011 and PS-2013 take the same three-well layout into an oval. The Yanco PS-2111 (11" x 5") is a different thing again — three 3 oz wells in a narrow strip, sized for sauces rather than sides.
Three more pieces ship as sets. The Yanco PS-723 pairs three 3.25" china spoons at 4 oz each with a 13.5" x 4.5" tray; the Yanco PS-721 is the smaller version at 2 oz per spoon on a 10.5" tray. The Yanco PS-722 swaps the spoons for three 3" cups and the Yanco PS-724 for three square bowls. Amuse-bouche, soup flights and trio tastings are what these are built around, and they ship as a complete set of 12.
Soup, menudo and rice service
The two menudo bowls are the widest-mouthed pieces in the line: the Yanco PS-8-M (48 oz, 8.5") and Yanco PS-7-M (25 oz, 7.5") take menudo, pozole, caldo, pho and ramen at full portion. Below them the Yanco PS-3 Soup Plate (10 oz) is the rimmed 9" shape and the Yanco PS-4 Bouillon Cup (7 oz) the handleless broth cup. For rice and small dishes, the Yanco PS-007 Rice Bowl (8.5 oz) ships 48 to a case and the Yanco PS-003 Small Dish (2 oz) and Yanco PS-005 Soup Spoon (5.5") ship 72.
Bowls, plates and platters
Pasta and salad run on the Yanco PS-120 Pasta Bowl (30 oz, 12") and Yanco PS-115 Pasta Bowl (25 oz, 11.5"), with the Yanco PS-2206 Salad Bowl (26 oz) and Yanco PS-2205 Cereal Bowl (16 oz) handling breakfast and sides. The traditional bench keeps the Yanco PS-18 Nappie (15 oz), Yanco PS-15 Nappie (12 oz), Yanco PS-10 Grapefruit Bowl (13 oz), Yanco PS-11 Fruit Bowl (5 oz) and Yanco PS-32 Fruit Bowl (3.5 oz).
Rimmed round plates step from PS-7 (7.5") and PS-22 (8.25") through PS-8 (9"), PS-9 (9.5") and PS-16 (10.5") to the PS-21 (12"). Oval platters run PS-34 (9.5"), PS-12 (10.625"), PS-13 (11.75"), PS-14 (13") and PS-41 (14"). The rimless side answers with the Yanco PS-14-CP Coupe Platter (14" x 10"), PS-12-CP (12" x 8.25"), PS-10-CP (10" x 7") and PS-8-CP (8" x 5.5").
Beverage
The Yanco PS-1 Tall Cup (7 oz) takes the 5.625" Yanco PS-2 Saucer; the Yanco PS-35 Espresso Cup (3.5 oz) takes the 4.5" Yanco PS-36 Saucer. The Yanco PS-8-S Sierra Mug (8 oz) covers counter coffee and the handleless Yanco PS-45 Chinese Tea Cup (4.5 oz) covers tea service.

Piscataway sits alongside the other white china in the full Yanco range.
