Sauce Pans
A sauce pan is one of those pieces of cookware that gets used constantly throughout the day in any commercial kitchen. From heating sauces, gravies, and soups to boiling pasta, reducing stocks, warming dal, making chai, preparing chutneys, and reheating sides during service, a good sauce pan needs to heat evenly, hold up to daily abuse, and be easy to handle on a busy line. We carry commercial sauce pans from Winco in both aluminum and stainless steel, in sizes from 2 quarts to 10 quarts.
The Winco aluminum sauce pan series (ASP) is built from tapered 3003 aluminum with reinforced rims for strength and durability. Aluminum heats up fast and distributes heat evenly, making these pans ideal for high-volume line cooking where speed matters. The ASP-2 (2.5 qt.) is a compact pan for small sauces, reductions, and single-portion heating. The ASP-5 (5 qt.) is a versatile mid-size option for everyday sauce and soup work. The ASP-7 (7 qt.) and ASP-10 (10 qt.) add helper handles for safe two-handed lifting and pouring when working with heavier loads. All aluminum models are 3.0mm thick and NSF listed.
The Winco stainless steel sauce pan series (SSSP) is built from commercial-quality premium stainless steel with tri-ply heavy-duty bottoms for even heat distribution. Every stainless steel sauce pan comes with a matching cover to retain heat and moisture during cooking. The lineup starts with the SSSP-2 (2 qt.) and SSSP-3 (3.5 qt.) for smaller tasks, moves through the SSSP-4 (4.5 qt.) and SSSP-6 (6 qt.) for daily sauce and soup production, and tops out with the SSSP-7 (7.5 qt.) and SSSP-10 (10 qt.) with helper handles for larger batch work. All stainless steel models feature extra sturdy 6-point welded handles, are induction ready, and are NSF listed.
When choosing between aluminum and stainless steel, aluminum is lighter, heats faster, and costs less, making it a popular choice for busy line cooks who need quick responsiveness. Stainless steel is more durable, does not react with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or vinegar, works on induction cooktops, and is dishwasher safe. Many kitchens keep both on hand for different tasks. Browse our saute pans, sauce pots, stock pots, and fry pans to build out your full cookware lineup.
