A 3" tall cup holding 7 ounces, built taller than it is wide so the coffee keeps its heat while the footprint stays small on a crowded setting. It pairs with the Piscataway 5-5/8" saucer, which is the reason it is a cup and not a mug: the well in the saucer is cut for this foot.

Seven ounces is a full American coffee pour with room below the rim, more generous than the 3.5-ounce espresso cup and more restrained than the 8-ounce Sierra mug. Porcelain keeps the outer wall cooler than a metal vessel would, and the thick chinaware rim takes the knocks of bussing without chipping along the lip.
