Yanco PS-21 Piscataway Chinaware 12" Plate, Bone White — Case of 12 (1 dz)
A plain 12" round plate with a 1" wall. The house rule reserves the platter name for plain serving rounds wider than fourteen inches, which leaves a twelve inch round on the plate side of the line. In practice it is a service or charger plate: the piece that sits under a smaller plate at a formal cover, or carries a large composed main on its own.
Twelve inches gives a kitchen two inches of clear china beyond a 10-1/2" dinner plate, which is the margin that makes a plating look finished. It takes the same stack as the other Piscataway rounds and the same glaze, so mixing sizes across a table does not show. The rolled lip survives bussing.
