Yanco PS-2011 Piscataway Chinaware 11" x 5-3/4" Oval Compartment Plate, Bone White — Case of 12 (1 dz)

An oval compartment plate, 11" long by 5-3/4" across, with a 1" wall. Divided pieces are protected functional names and remain plates at any size, so the eleven inch length does not turn this into a platter.

The narrow oval is drawn for a relish or a condiment service: separate wells running the length of the piece for pickles, olives and peppers, or for dipping sauces set in front of a shared main. Its shape lets it sit along the edge of a crowded table where a round of equal capacity would not fit, and the shallow depth keeps the contents visible from a seated height.
