Sentry is a 23-piece melamine line in a two-tone black-and-white body — white on the food side, black outside. It is often cataloged as a plate pattern, which undersells it badly: fourteen of the twenty-three pieces are bowls, and the bowl range alone runs from a 3.5 oz sauce bowl to a 55 oz pasta bowl in fourteen steps. The flatware side is four round deep plates and three oval plates. Treat Sentry as a bowl-led service line with plates attached, not the other way round.

Three families of bowl, and which to use when
The distinction Sentry draws is between deep bowls, pasta bowls and ramen bowls, and the numbers make the difference obvious. The deep bowls are tall for their width — the SN-609 (9" x 3-1/4", 48 oz) and SN-608 (8" x 2-7/8", 30 oz) hold their volume vertically, which suits a broth-heavy portion. The pasta bowls are wider and shallower at the same capacity: the SN-311 (11" x 2-1/2", 55 oz) spreads a portion out for plating, and the SN-310 (35 oz) and SN-308 (25 oz) follow it down. The two ramen bowls, SN-508 (34 oz) and SN-507 (28 oz), sit between the two profiles. Below them, the SN-5017 (18 oz), SN-607 (19.5 oz), SN-409 soup bowl (14 oz), SN-305 (9 oz) and SN-404 rice bowl (8 oz) cover sides and small courses, and the SN-408 sheer bowl (26 oz) and SN-304 sheer sauce bowl (3.5 oz) add a thinner-walled profile for service and condiments.
Round deep plates and ovals
The four round deep plates are the plate program: SN-107 (7-1/2"), SN-109 (8-7/8"), SN-110 (10-1/4") and SN-112 (11-1/2"). Their stated heights run 7/8" to 1", so they hold a sauced portion the way a shallow bowl would while still reading as a plate. Alongside them the three ovals — SN-210 (10" x 7-1/8"), SN-212 (12" x 8-1/2") and SN-214 (14" x 10") — cover platter duty, and the two dessert plates at 10-1/2" and 12" are rated by capacity as well as diameter, at 5 oz and 8 oz, because they too have a slight well.
