Yanco Nature Art Collection

Nature Art is a 62-piece commercial melamine dinnerware line built as 31 shapes offered twice over: once in a white-and-brown colorway and once in black. The part numbers tell you which you are looking at — a plain code such as NA-110 is the white version, and the same code with a BK suffix is the black one. Because the two runs are shape-for-shape identical, a kitchen can split a service between them, or swap the whole tabletop from light to dark, without changing a single size or case pack.

What's in the 62-piece Nature Art line

This is a full service program rather than an accent set. It carries plates in four geometries, a bowl family that runs from a 1.5 oz condiment dish up to a 55 oz noodle bowl, and a handful of pieces that are hard to source in melamine at all.

• Round plates — 7-1/2", 9", 10" and 12"
• Oval plates — 9-3/4" x 6", 11-3/4" x 7-3/4" and 14" x 9-3/4", plus deep ovals at 10-1/2" x 5-1/4" and 12" x 6"
• Rectangular plates — 8-1/2" x 3-3/4", 10-7/8" x 4-7/8" and 13" x 5-3/4", plus a narrow 13" x 3-1/2" long tray
• Noodle and soup bowls — 7" / 26 oz, 8" / 38 oz and 9" / 55 oz, with a 6-1/2" 28 oz bowl and a 5-1/2" 16 oz cereal bowl beneath them
• Mediterranean shapes — an 11-1/8" 20 oz deep bowl and a 10-3/4" 12 oz pasta bowl
• Salad and pasta bowls — 9" / 28 oz and 8" / 20 oz
• Dessert plates — 9-1/4" x 5" at 10 oz and 11-1/2" x 6" at 16 oz
• Small pieces — a 4-1/2" square miso bowl, a 4-1/2" rice bowl, a two-compartment sauce dish at 2 oz per well, a 3-1/2" square sauce dish at 5 oz, and round sauce dishes at 4 oz and 1.5 oz
• A 9" x 7-1/2" bowl with an integral handle at 24 oz, for stews and single-pan service

Where the shapes earn their place

Noodle bowls. The three ramen sizes are a genuine ladder rather than a rounding of one mold: NA-607 (26 oz) suits a lunch portion, NA-608 (38 oz) is the everyday size, and NA-609BK (55 oz) leaves headroom for broth, noodles and a full toppings load without the bowl running to the rim on the pass.

Deep ovals and rectangles. The NA-312BK deep oval plate (12" x 6") has 1-3/4" of wall, which is what separates it from the flat 14" oval — it will hold a sauced piece of fish or a braise on a moving tray where a flat plate will not. The NA-413 rectangular plate (13" x 5-3/4") and the 13" x 3-1/2" long tray cover the two widths most sushi and tasting menus actually need.

Round plates and small ware. The NA-110 round plate (10") is the workhorse entrée size, with 9" and 7-1/2" beneath it for starters and dessert. On the condiment side the NA-5003 sauce dish (4 oz) holds a dipping portion, the NA-5004 square sauce dish (5 oz) gives the same footprint a squared edge, and the NA-506 two-compartment dish puts soy and ginger on one piece so the runner carries one item instead of two.

Miso and rice. The NA-505BK square miso bowl (10 oz) and the matching 4-1/2" round rice bowl are sized to the same 10 oz so a set meal plates consistently whichever silhouette you choose.
