Yanco NA-408BK Nature Art Melamine 8-1/2" x 3-3/4" x 1/2" Rectangular Plate, Black and Brown — Case of 48 (4 dz)

A black rectangular plate measuring eight and a half by three and three quarter inches, half an inch high. The NA-408BK is appetizer and dessert scale, and the rectangle is the reason to choose it — a long format frames food laid out in a line, which is how small courses are usually arranged.

Contrast on a small canvas

On a surface this size the ground is much of what a diner sees, and black turns it into a frame rather than a backdrop. A white dumpling wrapper, a dusting of sugar or a bright sauce dot all read sharply against it. Brown banding runs along the edge so the outline holds on a dark placemat. Forty-eight pieces to the case supports a station plating small courses continuously. Melamine survives the bussing tub, and it is dishwasher safe on a standard rack.
