Cambria is white Yanco china on an alumina body, 34 items, and the widest serving-plate selection of any white pattern stocked here. Beyond the expected round plates and bowls it carries three leaf-shaped plates and two long rectangles, which is what a kitchen buys when the shared plates have to look different from the dinner plates. Four sauce dishes, including a two-compartment one, round out the small end.

The CA-1xx and CA-2xx plates overlap

Cambria lists its flat rounds twice. The CA-1xx numbers are plain-rim plates; the CA-2xx numbers are the same diameters with a vertical rim standing off the face. They meet near 7 1/4", at 10" against 10 1/2", and dead on at 12", so CA-112 and CA-212 both come up as twelve-inch white plates with different stock numbers. Decide the rim before you price the pattern, because the case packs diverge — CA-207 ships 36 while CA-212 ships 12.

The other thing to know is where Cambria stops. It has no mug, no after-dinner cup and no oval plate: the serving pieces are leaf, rectangle and platter. Rooms that want an oval in this body usually pair it with a sibling pattern rather than waiting for a Cambria one.

The closest comparison is Versailles, which shares the bowls and the teardrop dessert plate on a magnesia body and adds the cups Cambria lacks; Glory is the other white line built on an upright rim, and it does carry ovals.
