Yanco Black & Red Collection

The Yanco Black & Red Collection is a two-tone melamine pattern — red and black on the same piece — and this page lists three items from it: a five-compartment bento box and two small bowls. It is a short list, so read it as an accent set for an Asian or sushi service rather than a complete dinnerware program.

The three pieces

• CR-610 bento box — rectangular, 10" x 7.75", with five sushi compartments and a matte finish. Ships 6 to a case.
• CR-3006 bowl — 10 oz, 4.625" across and 2.25" deep. Stackable, 48 to a case.
• CR-130 rice bowl — 8 oz, 4.5" across. Also 48 to a case.

How the three work together

The two bowls are close in size but not interchangeable: an eighth of an inch apart in diameter and two ounces apart in capacity, so the CR-130 is the rice portion and the CR-3006 takes miso, a noodle side or a dessert. Both are melamine and both stack, which is the practical argument for them over ceramic at a counter where bowls get bussed fast. The CR-610 is the only large piece here and the only matte one; at 6 per case it is priced and packed as a specialty item rather than a volume line.

Worth saying plainly: the Black & Red pattern extends further than these three SKUs. Additional two-tone noodle bowls, coupe plates and sauce dishes are carried on this store but are not grouped into this collection, so browse the full Yanco range if you need the wider set.

For a fuller melamine service in the same bracket, the Japanese collection carries sushi and noodle shapes across a much longer piece list, and the Osaka collection covers the same menu in a different finish.
