Forty-six ounces across an eight-inch mouth — the large noodle bowl of the pattern. Broth, noodles, a protein and the garnishes all go in together, and there is still freeboard so a server can carry it from the pass without the surface slopping over.

The pattern runs a second eight-inch noodle bowl, the CR-576, at thirty-six ounces for a lighter build. Ten ounces between them is the difference between a lunch portion and a dinner one. Melamine is standard for this kind of service because the bowls are wide, carried constantly, and would be punishing in ceramic at this volume.
