Yanco CR-7001 Black & Red Melamine 5-1/2" Soup Spoon, Black/Red — Case of 72 (6 dz)

The short soup spoon of the set, 5-1/2 inches long. This is the Chinese-style soup spoon, sized for a starter course, a tea cup of broth, or a child's place setting rather than for a deep noodle bowl.

Melamine spoons are standard in Asian restaurants for the same reason the bowls are: they come back from the bus tub intact and they do not conduct heat into a diner's hand. The pattern carries two longer spoons, at 6-1/2 and at 8-1/4 inches, for bigger bowls. Seventy-two spoons to a case, in the black and red two-tone.
