Yanco Mexico Collection

One finish runs through all 23 pieces in Mexico: red melamine flecked with black speckle. There is no second colorway and no white option, so whatever you order from this page matches everything else on it. The shapes are squared and rectangular rather than round, sized for plated Tex-Mex and Mexican service, and the line includes one piece you will not find in most patterns — a 14 3/4" x 8 3/4" stackable taco plate.

What's in the Mexico line

• Square plates at 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14"
• Rectangular plates in four lengths, 10" through 16"
• Square deep plates at 6" (14 oz) and 7" (22 oz)
• Sheer bowls at 8" (16 oz), 9 1/4" (24 oz) and 10" (36 oz)
• Square bowls at 3 3/4" (10 oz), 5" (18 oz), 6" (26 oz), 7 1/4" (2 qt), 7 1/2" (2 qt) and 10" (4 qt)
• Round bowls at 4 1/2" (10 oz) and 5" (14 oz)
• The ME-1765 stackable taco plate, 14 3/4" x 8 3/4" x 1 3/4"

Mexico is the Rome shape set in a single color

Sixteen of the 23 Mexico part numbers appear at the identical number and identical dimensions in Rome — ME-307 and RM-307 are both a 7" square deep plate at 22 oz, ME-4109 and RM-4109 are both a 10" square bowl at 4 qt. Mexico is effectively that squared mold family produced in one speckled red finish, then trimmed of Rome's display and compartment pieces and topped up with the taco plate, the three sheer bowls and two round bowls. The useful consequence: if a shape you want is missing here, check Rome for the same number in white or black, because the footprint will line up on the shelf.

Mexico is listed with the full Yanco range. Two melamine lines worth comparing: Rome for the same shapes in white and black with a much longer list of display and catering pieces, and Stone Art if what you want is the speckled surface rather than the red.
