Yanco Lion King Collection

Every plate in Lion King is a square or a rectangle. No round plate appears among the twenty-seven pieces, and the china is bone white with no decoration, so the outline does all the work. Seven square plates climb from 5 1/4" to 14"; six rectangular plates run from 8" x 5 3/4" to 17 3/4" x 11". Nothing here is a cup, saucer or mug, which makes Lion King a plating set rather than a complete service.

Eight of the bowls are square, in two builds at nearly matching footprints. LK-308 is an 8" square holding 25 oz that sits flat; LK-408 is an 8 1/2" square holding 28 oz raised on a foot. The pairing repeats at the top of the range, where flat LK-310 takes 48 oz at 10" and footed LK-410 takes 64 oz at 10 3/4". The foot buys height and a little volume for roughly an inch more table width. Case packs split too: LK-408 ships twelve to a case against twenty-four for LK-308.
