Yanco YO-1011 Yoto Melamine 11" x 1-1/4" Round Coupe Plate, Green — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Eleven inches is the standard dinner footprint, and this coupe is the Yoto plate built for it. The extra two inches over the nine-inch give a protein, a starch and a vegetable room to sit apart instead of overlapping, while the 1-1/4 inch wall holds a thin sauce toward the centre rather than letting it run.

Weighing far less than a china plate of matching diameter, it eases the load on servers carrying four up an arm and survives the drops that would end a porcelain plate's life. The matte surface diffuses overhead light instead of bouncing it, so photographs of plated food come out without hot spots.
