Yanco WD-1214 Wooden Tray Melamine 14" x 5-1/2" Rectangular Tray With Handle, Brown — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Fourteen inches long and five and a half wide, the WD-1214 is a lane rather than a field. That proportion was drawn for passed service: four canapes in a row, three shot glasses with a garnish between them, a bread baton cut into portions. Grips at the short ends let the tray be worked through a crowd at shoulder height.

Narrow trays also solve a storage problem, since a stack of these occupies about the footprint of a sheet pan turned on its short side. The brown wood-grain face is moulded into melamine, so a dropped tray bounces where a timber board would crack. Rack it with everything else at the end of service.
