Fifteen and a half inches by ten and three-quarters is the big oval in the Versailles group, and it is built for a buffet line or a carving station where one piece has to hold a whole service of something.

Thickness matters here: at seven-eighths of an inch through the body it resists the flex a thin platter shows when it is loaded and lifted at one end. Use it for a side of salmon, a sliced brisket, a tiered dessert display or a full antipasto layout. Bone white under a complete glaze, with the magnesia body the pattern is built on, and a dozen arrive in each case.
