At twelve inches across and three-quarters of an inch through the body, this is the oversize round in the Versailles dinnerware run - a service plate under a charger setting, or an entree plate for a kitchen that plates wide and low.

The extra thickness holds heat, so a plate pulled from the cabinet keeps a sauced dish warm across a long dining room. Because it is a plain round rather than a shaped server, it stays in the plate family at this diameter. Bone white, fully glazed, magnesia body; it washes and stacks alongside the smaller rounds in the pattern, a dozen in each case.
