Eleven and a quarter inches is the standard American dinner plate, the size a great many entree presentations are designed around and the one a tabletop plan usually starts from. The five-eighths body matches the VS-110 but carries three-quarters of an inch more diameter.

That translates into real plating room for a protein, a starch and a vegetable set apart rather than piled. The wide bone-white rim frames colour well under warm dining-room lighting, and at a dozen in each case it restocks in the increments a service actually loses plates in.
