Ten and a half inches is a dinner plate that suits a plated entree with two sides and still leaves a clean margin of white around the food. The five-eighths-inch body is noticeably more substantial than the lunch rounds below it, which is what you want when a plate goes under a salamander or comes out of a warming cabinet.

It sits an inch and a half wider than the nine-inch VS-109 and three-quarters of an inch narrower than the VS-111, so a kitchen can run all three and still tell them apart by eye on the shelf. Fully glazed, magnesia-bodied chinaware in bone white, twelve to the case.
