The UN-110 carries the dinner service up to 10-1/2 inches while keeping the same one-inch coupe wall as the 9-3/4 inch plate below it. Three-quarters of an inch more diameter is the difference between a plate that is full and a plate with air around the food, which is what a kitchen plating three components usually wants.

Chinaware at this width holds heat long enough to carry a hot main from the pass to a table across a room. The Universe swirl occupies the middle of the well, so centred plating covers it and offset plating lets it show. Twelve to a case, one dozen, the standard replacement unit for breakage.
