Yanco SW-209 Sea Wave Chinaware 9" x 6-1/4" Rectangular Plate, Bone White — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Nine by 6-1/4 inches is the rectangular dinner plate in the pattern, and Yanco's own designation for it.

The size works in rooms where a square service would crowd the cover. Fifty-six square inches reads much narrower than the 9 inch square at the same length, which pushes a kitchen toward plating down the axis rather than around a centre point: a fish fillet, a rolled breast, a composed plate built on the diagonal. Height holds at 3/4 inch, matching the 9 inch square so a mixed stack sits level in the warmer. Cases of twenty-four mirror that plate's pack exactly.
