Yanco SW-114 Sea Wave Chinaware 14" Square Platter, Bone White — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Fourteen inches square is the family-style platter in Sea Wave — one hundred ninety-six square inches of surface on a solid inch of body.

It holds a shared main for four without anything stacking, a composed charcuterie spread, or a dessert presentation carried out whole and portioned at the table. The additional 1/8 inch of thickness over the 12 inch matters when the piece leaves a warming cabinet and has to hold its temperature through a tableside presentation. Two hands are needed at this span, and the square corners give a server something definite to grip where an oval offers nothing. Cases run twelve.
