A square salad bowl of seven inches a side, standing an inch and five eighths, holding sixteen ounces. Square geometry buys surface that a round of the same span cannot: the corners add roughly a quarter again of floor area, which is where a composed salad gains its spread without being piled up.

Sixteen ounces is an individual portion with leaves loose enough to turn with a fork. The shallow wall means this is a bowl to present from rather than to toss in, so dress at the pass. Four of them square up on a tray in a way that round bowls will not, which matters for banquet runs. Two dozen to a case.
