Yanco SI-210 Siena Chinaware 10" x 7" x 3/4" Oval Plate, Bone White — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Ten inches on the long axis and seven across, which keeps this oval plate on the per-diner side of the line rather than in serving territory. It is the size for a composed starter, a fish fillet laid lengthways, a pair of skewers with a dip at one end, or a breakfast of eggs with a rasher alongside.

Three quarters of an inch of rise runs the whole way round the oval, enough to hold a thin sauce without turning the piece into a dish. Twenty-four to a case, double the pack of the two larger Siena ovals, because a per-cover item turns over faster than a sharing piece does. Cambria's CA-310 and Glory's GL-210 run to the same ten inch length in other Yanco lines, and both are catalogued as an oval plate.
