Yanco SH-106 Shanghai Chinaware 6-1/4" Square Plate, Bone White — Case of 36 (3 dz)
Six and a quarter inches on a side, the SH-106 is Shanghai's bread and butter plate: a square footprint that tucks to the left of a cover without pushing into the water glass. Square corners give a roll or a pat of butter somewhere to sit instead of sliding to the rim.
Bakeries and hotel breakfast rooms also use a plate this size for a single pastry. Against the eight and a quarter inch SH-108 it is two inches narrower on every side, which is the gap that lets the two stack in separate runs without a server confusing them.
