Nine and a quarter inches across, two inches at the wall, ten ounces of working volume. A soup plate of this shape is the rim-soup form: a generous flange around a modestly sunken well, so the plate can be gripped and set down without a thumb reaching the food. Ten ounces is a course, not a meal, which is what the form is for.

This is the direct counterpart of the nine-and-a-quarter-inch piece in the Rockeye series, named the same way for the same geometry so the two sit together under one facet. A trifle, a poached fruit, a bisque all work. The broad flange and the shallow well are what make this a plate rather than a bowl. Chinaware body, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
