Yanco RO-2207 Rockeye-2 Chinaware 7-1/4" x 7/8" Round Plate, White and Brown — Case of 36 (3 dz)

Seven and a quarter inches across and only seven-eighths of an inch at the wall, this round plate is the pattern's bread, salad and dessert size. It fits a side course without stealing the space a dinner plate needs beside it, and it stacks tightly, which matters when a prep line has to hold two dozen plated salads in a reach-in. The brown edge reads as a drawn line at this diameter rather than a band.

Rockeye-2's pebbled relief covers the rim while the centre well stays smooth, so a knife runs over glaze instead of texture. Against the eight-inch round in the same series the difference is three-quarters of an inch of rim, which is the difference between a bread plate and a starter plate on a crowded cover. At that width it is the smallest plate in the pattern. Chinaware body, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
