Yanco RO-2112 Rockeye Chinaware 11-1/2" x 5-1/2" Rectangular Platter, White and Brown — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Eleven and a half inches by five and a half: a long, lean rectangle built to run down the centre of a table rather than sit in front of one diner. Skewers, spring rolls, a row of sliced tenderloin, a flight of three tasting portions all suit a shape this narrow.

Past the ten-inch mark a rectangle is a serving platter rather than a plate, and this one behaves like one at the pass. The low wall holds a glaze or a jus without making the piece awkward to lift two-handed. Pebbled Rockeye relief frames the field. Chinaware, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
