Yanco RE-281 Recovery Chinaware 18" x 12" Platter, American White — Case of 6

An oval platter 18 inches by 12 inches with a 1-1/2 inch wall — the largest piece in the Recovery line. A foot and a half on the long axis is banquet and buffet scale: a carved roast with its garnish, a whole side of salmon, a tray of sandwiches cut and fanned, a display of charcuterie.

The raised edge matters at this size, because a platter this wide carries a lot of juice and gets tilted when two people lift it. Eighteen inches by twelve fits a standard buffet riser and leaves room for a serving fork at the end. Six pieces to the carton rather than a dozen, which reflects the weight and the way a room buys large ovals.
