Yanco RE-213 Recovery Chinaware 13" x 2" Salad Plate, American White — Case of 12 (1 dz)

A round salad plate 13 inches across with a full two inch rise, the broad end of the Recovery salad plates. Thirteen inches of bed with a two inch wall behaves half like a plate and half like a shallow bowl, which is what a kitchen wants for a salad built with heavy components: roasted vegetables, a whole burrata, shaved fennel and citrus.

The functional name holds at this diameter — a salad plate stays a salad plate however wide it runs — so it files with the plates rather than the platters. It also works as a share piece for a cold mezze course or a fruit plate at a buffet, where the raised edge keeps juice contained. Twelve arrive per carton.
