At 9-3/4 by 6-1/4 inches this divided plate is big enough to work as a full cover rather than an appetiser piece: a protein in the larger well, rice or a dressed salad in the smaller. That is the standard combination cover for a counter-service Japanese kitchen.

It is the largest of the three Osaka divided rectangles, and the step up from the 8-3/4 inch body shows in the width more than the length. Cases hold twenty-four. Melamine is the practical material for a divided form because internal corners get scrubbed hard, and a glazed body chips there first. White, dishwasher safe, extra heavy weight.
