Yanco OK-107 Osaka Melamine 7-1/4" Square Plate, White — Case of 48 (4 dz)

The 7-1/4 inch square face on this Osaka plate suits a single appetiser course, a pair of nigiri, or a dessert portion without leaving the garnish stranded in a wide rim. Corners give the setting a deliberate line that a round of the same width cannot, and the shallow 3/4 inch profile keeps a sauce where the kitchen put it.

Four dozen arrive together, which is about what a sushi counter burns through in a shift, and melamine lets a busser stack them wet without chipped corners. Among Osaka's four square plates this is the smallest, so pair it with the 10-1/2 inch square for a two-course cover. Finished white right through the body rather than glazed on top.
