Nine inches wide and two inches deep, the OC-709 is the middle of Ocean's three nine-inch deep rounds. Yanco lists it for dessert as well as soup and the shape supports both: there is wall enough to contain a syrup or a custard, and width enough that a plated dessert keeps a visible border of glaze around it.

Two dozen ship in a carton. The two-inch wall separates it from the shallower plate at the same diameter and from the deeper rim bowl above it, giving a kitchen three distinct depths on one footprint. That is useful when the table setting has to stay consistent but the courses do not.
