A soup plate is not a bowl. The OC-407 is seven inches wide and only an inch and a half deep, so a broth spreads out and reaches eating temperature faster than it would in anything taller. Ten ounces fills it to a comfortable line well short of the edge.

This is the smallest of Ocean's deep plates, suited to a first-course soup, a serving of miso alongside a main, or a dessert that needs containing. Three dozen come in a carton. The eight-inch version of the same profile adds four ounces for one more inch of width, without changing the depth at all.
