The OC-208 is the smallest oval Ocean makes: eight inches long, five and five-eighths across, three-quarters deep. An oval reads differently from a round of similar area, because the long axis walks the eye along a plated item instead of around it. That is why this shape keeps appearing under appetisers, a pair of dumplings, or a single dessert.

Three dozen fit one carton, matching the density of the small rounds, so a kitchen running both shapes restocks them in step. The next oval up is the ten-inch, which adds two inches of length and nearly an inch and a half of width.
