A five-and-a-half-inch saucer with a well sized for both Nessico cups, so the eight-ounce bulbous and the seven-ounce ovide both sit in it without rocking. Green, and three-quarters of an inch from table to rim.

Saucers take more abuse than cups do, because they are stacked higher and washed in bigger loads, and a melamine saucer does not chip along the edge the way a porcelain one will. The outer band is wide enough to park a biscuit or a sachet beside the cup. Where a kitchen runs colour by section, matching green cups and saucers make a returned setting easy to sort.
