Yanco NS-703Y Nessico Melamine 10-1/8" 3-COMPARTMENT Plate, Yellow — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Yellow, and the wider of the two shallow divided rounds Nessico makes. The wells match the narrower plate exactly; the extra quarter-inch sits out in the band where a hand goes.

In school service that band matters more than it sounds. Children grip a plate by its edge, and a wider edge means fewer thumbprints in the mashed potato. The colour does the other half of the job, making an abandoned plate obvious along a long table. Depth is three-quarters of an inch across all three sections, so this is a plate for dry food, while wet dishes want the deep Nessico divided round instead. Melamine throughout, twenty-four pieces in a case.
