Yanco NS-515Y Nessico Melamine 13-1/4" x 9-1/2" Oval Platter W/NARROW Rim, Yellow — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Thirteen and a quarter inches long and nine and a half wide, in the Nessico yellow. The broad oval is a shape caterers often buy in colour, because it is what guests actually look at: a serving platter stays out on the table for a whole event, where an individual setting is cleared within the hour.

Width is what separates it from the thirteen-inch oval, an extra inch across the middle, enough to run two rows of something instead of one. Break resistance counts for more here than on a dinner piece, since one of these going over usually takes its contents down with it.
