Yanco NS-513W Nessico Melamine 13" x 8-1/2" Oval Platter W/NARROW Rim, White — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Thirteen inches of oval with very little rim, built to be filled edge to edge. White is the right ground for anything carrying sauce or colour, and at this length there is room to arrange rather than simply pile. It is a clear step up in length from the eleven-and-a-half inch oval without a matching jump in width.

Melamine earns its keep in serving ware even more than in dinnerware. A thirteen-inch platter is awkward to carry and easy to break in china; this one weighs little, survives a drop and goes straight into a standard rack. For an operation that sets up and breaks down a buffet daily, that is the whole argument.
