Yanco NS-512Y Nessico Melamine 12" x 6-3/4" Oval Platter W/NARROW Rim, Yellow — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Eleven and a half inches on the long axis puts this oval into platter territory. In yellow it is bought almost entirely for volume feeding rather than fine dining: hospital trays, school lunch, camp and conference catering, where a strong colour helps staff sort clean stock quickly and keeps a tray from looking institutional.

An oval works harder than a round on a cafeteria tray, because it fits lengthwise where a round of the same area would overhang the edge. Melamine takes the knocks of tray service without chipping, and the piece comes off a machine cycle ready to be turned straight around for the next sitting.
