An eleven-and-a-half-inch oval platter, the second step up in Nessico's narrow-rim series. This is the workhorse length for combination service: a protein with rice and beans, half a sandwich with soup beside it, or a breakfast spread with eggs, meat and potatoes all in view and none of it touching.

It is also light. Seven-eighths of an inch of melamine at this length weighs a fraction of what stoneware would, which a server carrying three of them up one arm will notice by the end of a shift. Tan absorbs the inevitable scuffing and keeps the piece looking the same in month twelve as in month one.
