Yanco NS-211Y Nessico Melamine 11-1/2" x 7-1/2" Rectangular Platter, Yellow — Case of 24 (2 dz)

A yellow rectangular platter is a buffet piece. The colour reads from the far end of a counter, which is how a venue tells one station from another, and the 11-1/2 by 7-1/2 inch surface takes a run of sandwiches, pastries or cut fruit in a single layer rather than piled up.

The 3/4-inch rise is enough to contain a juicy item without being so tall that service tongs catch on the wall. Twenty-four to the case is a lot of platters, which reflects how these are actually bought - by venues setting up a whole counter at once rather than replacing a broken one.
