Yanco NS-105Y Nessico Melamine 5-1/2" Round Plate, Yellow — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Yellow at 5-1/2 inches is a children's-service plate as often as it is a bread plate. Schools, daycare kitchens and camp dining halls use the bright body because a small child can find their own plate on a crowded serving line, and because a dropped melamine round does not turn into a hazard on a tiled floor.

Half an inch of depth gives a shallow lip rather than a rim, which keeps the usable surface wide for its diameter - a sandwich half, a cookie and some fruit all fit without stacking. Forty-eight to the case suits the replacement cycle of a room that loses plates to breakage and to the bin rather than to wear.
