At 11-1/2" long by 9-1/4" wide, the NR-13 is the entry oval platter in Normandy and the piece the line starts serving from rather than plating on. Crossing the ten-inch mark along the major axis puts it among the servers, and the proportions bear that out: a 9-1/4" short axis gives real width for a family-style presentation of sliced meat, grilled vegetables, or a whole trout.

Two inches longer than the NR-12 along the length, it reads as a shared piece at a glance, which matters when a server sets it down between two diners. A dozen to the case is the pack Normandy uses for its larger formats.
