Yanco NC-4420 Compartment Collection Melamine 9-1/2" x 7" x 1-1/4" Deep 4-Compartment Plate, White — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Yanco designates this the deep version of its four-compartment rectangle, and the published 1-1/4 inch wall is what that designation means in practice. Curry, chili, a wet vegetable, anything with gravy behind it stays inside its own well rather than running into the one next door, which is the single thing a shallow divider cannot do.

On a 9-1/2 by 7 inch footprint the compartment plate suits one setting rather than a full cafeteria load, so it turns up in assisted-living dining rooms and staff canteens more often than on a school rail. Sunken wells also hold a little more mass per portion, so a covered plate loses heat more slowly on its way down a corridor.

Sold by the full case. Case of 24 (2 dz)
