Yanco MS-212BU Milestone Melamine 12" x 9" Oval Platter, Blue — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Twelve inches along the long axis puts this firmly in platter territory — past ten, a shaped piece is for the middle of the table rather than in front of one person. Twelve by nine holds a whole chicken jointed, a dozen skewers, or a family-style portion of vegetables. Blue is strong enough to anchor a buffet line of neutral pieces. The wall thickens to seven-eighths of an inch on this platter, an eighth more than the 9-1/2" oval plate below it, because a loaded oval is lifted by its edges rather than supported underneath. Twelve to the box.
