Yanco MS-109BU Milestone Melamine 9" Narrow Rim Round Plate, Blue — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Nine inches is where a plate stops being a side and becomes the entrée, and the narrow rim here is what makes that work — almost the whole nine inches is flat enough to plate on, instead of a decorative band eating two of them. Blue reads as casual rather than institutional, which is why it turns up in brewpubs and beach cafes more than in hospitals. Depth steps up to three-quarters of an inch from the five-eighths of the smaller narrow-rim plates, giving the edge more to resist a knock with. Boxes hold two dozen, a sane reorder unit for a room that turns forty covers a night.
