Yanco MO-209BK Moderne Melamine 9" x 7" x 2-1/2" Deep Triangle/Soup Plate, Black — Case of 24 (2 dz)

The MO-209BK gives the Moderne soup plate in matte black: 9" long, 7" across, and 2-1/2" deep. A dark well flatters a clear consomme, a pale bisque or a noodle broth with bright herb garnish, and the matte wall does not throw the ring of light that a glossy dark glaze puts across a liquid surface.

The three corners each hold a little more than the centre, which suits a course built in parts rather than stirred together. Melamine at this depth stays comfortable to carry when full, and the piece will go straight from service into a rack without the chipping that a porcelain rim of this size picks up within a season.
