Yanco MO-209 Moderne Melamine 9" x 7" x 2-1/2" Deep Triangle/Soup Plate, White — Case of 24 (2 dz)

A 9" x 7" footprint with a 2-1/2" well makes the MO-209 the soup plate of the Moderne range. The proportions follow the other deep triangle pieces, scaled so that a standard portion of broth, ramen, chowder or a thick curry sits well below the rim with room for a ladle to come back out cleanly.

Soup served in a triangle behaves differently from soup in a round: the corners collect the solids, which is useful for anything with dumplings or large vegetables that would otherwise hide in the centre. White melamine shows the colour of a stock without tinting it, and because melamine is not ceramic it will not pull heat out of a thin soup before it reaches the table.
